I started a new job about 13 months ago, so I havent gotten any new scrap in that long so I figure its time to start turning in some stuff that isnt worth a whole lot but still taking up space. I took in 6900lb of electric motors Saturday and now have my sights set on taking in all the 110v power cords that I cut off of the fridges and washers. I figure I have about 1500lb of those. 16 to 18 awg insulated wire. What would this wire go as? I have a few choices of yard to take them to. The one I took the motors to is not the best paying but electric motor price is the same everywhere and this yard is close. I plan to take the cords to a yard that deals alot in nonferrous so the pricing is better. Heres what their website says for copper insulated.
CU PREM. INSULATED WIRE (CLEAN): $1.20
CU PREM. INSULATED WIRE (DIRTY): $1.00
CU INSULATED WIRE: $0.50
COMPUTER WIRE: $0.10
