From the looks of it appears to be evacuated........If still in doubt some yards buy whole units or try to contact a professional to take it off your hands

It's not a big deal. Crack one of the valves open just a wee bit and see if you get a hiss. Proceed accordingly.
Yea I think thats probably what I will do. worst comes to worst there is a local yard that will take it with freon but only pays light iron price for it I think. .... no positive. well while I mull over my options I just picked up a bunch of stuff to take apart today
Nice score on the HDD's.
Gorven mentioned that he was trying to source SATA drives in his buyer's thread a couple of days ago.
Yea I did see that. These are all dead/decommissioned, not sure if that matters or is relevant for him. Also I usually prefer to take the boards off.
In other news, there was 2, server 2U uninterruptible backup power supplies. Each one has 30lbs of transformers (2x @ 15lb each) and 32lbs of lead-acid batteries.... then the boards and wires and stuff too.... pretty hefty machines....
This might be to late, but the lines running between the coil and sealed unit on the ac are the ones that will indicate if Freon might be present. Contractors around here that remove the Freon will cut the line there and sometimes even attach a sticker.

Give back more to this world than we take.
Oh, and if I was going to bet money, that compressor unit is charged.
Yea I did get 2 of them I may decide to keep one, batteries are cheap enough. May also decide to try and sell one, but one I just wanted to rip open for the fun of it.

We'll have to get a bookie and start taking bets! Im am 99.99% positive it is not charged now. upon further investigation, if you look into the valve, we can see it is fully open and there is a clear path from the condensor through to the valve..... now, Im not an HVAC tech so still not 100% sure.
