    Covid hit the shop

Well, covid finally made it to us. I had an employee test positive, I have already had it but everyone else has been sent home until test results come in. It looks like I'll be working the rest of the week by myself, oh well I guess.

Has anyone else had covid 19 make it into the workplace?

Take care of yourself TJ! Someone at my old job was infected in March and that's where my job went until I started doing my own thing again a couple months back. Thankfully he didn't have serious symptoms. Unfortunately the yard manager at a local yard here passed from it

You might want to get re-tested TJ. Nobody knows for sure, but some of the research is suggesting that the immunity doesn't hold.

We've been spared so far, but it hit three shops in this county recently. We've had a flood of tourists coming in from all over the country over the last few weeks. It will be a miracle if we make it through to Labor Day without community transmission.

Me and my wife had it back in early March before it was a huge deal. For me it wasnt bad, only lose taste and smell for 2 weeks and had a rash but otherwise felt 100% fine. Wife did not have it as mild as me.... flu like symptoms for 2 weeks trouble breathing walking up the stairs, etc..... But we both got through it. A guy from my work landed in the ICU on a ventilator (but has since gotten released and recovered) and another person from my works' father died of covid. Other than that, pretty much business as usually.
