    I need to Vent!

So, everyone on here will be able to relate themselves with this post. Cant vent to people who dont really know what we do or care what we do so here it goes.

Me and my brother load the truck lastnight with all of our light steel which is half the bed. First thing this morning, we do a basement cleanout for metal only. We have the truck packed now. We also have a lawn mower, weed wacker, Washer, ect...that we leave next to the house cause we need to bring that home to tear down and/or fix and resell. We go to the scrapyard which is only 5 minutes from the job. We unload (having 960lbs and making $134.40) and go back to the house within 30 minutes. The washer, Lawn Mower, Weed Wacker and a thick Tow Chain are GONE!! We did all that work lugging them out of a basement to have them taken from us!

Then to boot, the gas gauge in the truck doesnt work and i run out of gas on the way home! This was a FML day, but also a learning experience. Dont ever leave your treasure where another hunter can take it!!!

Now for lunch and off to pick up an approx. 400lb load of scrap. Thanks for listening guys!

I was gone working for a week and stole all the copper wiring and plumbing I had been saving for the last 25 years to finish my house and shop. Over 500 lbs of copper alone.

Too bad Adam and Re-cycler......it could happen to any of us, we just have to "go for the next load" like you both have done.

When necessary to leave your scrap, even for a short period, try throwing a tarp over it, and tuck in the ends so the wind doesn't take it. Out of sight might do the trick.

Glad the day turned out in the end.
