Pics of my hauls

Im a small operation compared to many folks. I have my truck for hauling. I don’t have space to store a trailer or room for a bunch of stuff at my house. Im more of a “quick flipper” I guess you could say. I’ll be posting pics of my hauls in here. Im sure a lot of people have started out doing the same thing I’m doing. I’m making a little walking around money and also some cash to help fund my drag racing hobby. The wife just shakes her head and laughs (lol). But she is also calling me when she sees scraps for me to grab so she’s kinda having fun too. Thanks fella’s.

The copper tubing adds up. Watch out, some of the motors from washers and dryers and the transformers from microwaves are copper coated aluminum wires. Just take a file or knife blade and scrape them good. You will either see copper or shiny silver aluminum.

Looks good. I clean everything using hand tools as I find it is usually easier to just take it apart the way it was put together . I have a 99 Dodge truck with a tall camper shell on it that I can leave sit around and fill with ready-to-shred . If you do much scrapping and are limited on space or just like to keep things cleaned up , a vehicle like mine with a shell on it works great as you can really pack some weight in there . Put some plywood or scrap metal over the windows inside if worried about breaking them. Keeps your scrap clean and dry and holds enough if you pack it in there to make a trip to the yard worthwhile.

I do keep my shred in a pile outside that I can cover up with a tarp. Smaller stuff in 5 gal buckets and milk crates. Truck works good if I am planning on taking to yard in a few weeks as I can slowly load knowing my stuff will not get full of water. A little fenced in area works good too . A lot of weight can be put in buckets and crates and they are easy to load and unload . Lids on the buckets help keep water out and the crates will not collect any water if stuff in stack in them right. Looks like you have a good vehicle for collecting and it may work for hauling a good amount of weight to the yard if you pack it in there right.
