Pulled an old incinerator uphill with a chain myself

holy freaking cow are those things heavy! In my parents woods there is a dump spot everyone used to throw their junk on to fill up a big hole. Well, it washed out this year during those heavy rainstorm periods we had. Most of the stuff went down the hill and I wanted that incinerator lol. the path down for any tractors washed out with it too of course. So I tried to upend it and knock out all the firebrick inside. Every time I did it slid further down the hill. So i went for a chain, hooked it to the incinerator and then around a tree and then around my neck and waist and pulled that dang thing up to where it was flat and then finished emptying it and hooked it to the cushman truck and pulled it out of the woods the rest of the way. I think I pulled it up the hill about 30 foot that way before it was on flat ground (and thats including re-slide length!! ) Got $69.00 for it and a piece of heavy pipe I pulled up too so not bad for an hours work. I threw in the mouse nest for free

Remember, too, that the more pulleys you're using (with rope), the less effort that it will take.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
