    First Few Days Scrapping

Hi, as I said in my intro I'm new to this so I will start at the start. I recently hired a skip (I think you would call it a dumpster) to clear my Mother's house and garden shed out while she was away for a few days and it needed doing. I just wish I'd found this forum back then so I wouldn't have paid somebody else to take four TV's, two microwaves, a toaster and a whole load of gardening tools, hand and electric. Gutted.

Oh well. On we go. Now I know a little bit more I decided to carry on with her garden and weighed in the light iron from an old trampoline for £8.40 (40kg) and some old copper pipes and a few off cuts from a recent plumbing job. £20 for basically a couple of handfuls of copper.

And an old money counting machine I wanted to try to sell on Ebay but seems to be totally dead is really heavy for it's size. I just undid a couple of screws to try to see what was in there and found a lovely crispy £10 note inside.

Not much, but it's a start.

Check that counting machine for brass parts.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I'm in my Honeymoon period here. The ammount of 'junk' I have around the house that can be scrapped in one way or another, along with microwaves, phone chargers, ovens and everything else relatives are telling me I can take is shocking. That will run out one day soon and I will have to go out and find my own stuff.
