    Thumbs up Awesome Saturday Buy!!!!!!

A friend of my dad owns a storage company about 5 minutes from my house. He called me to come look at 6 units he had up for upcoming auctions on Friday of this week. So he let me look through them to see which ones I wanted. I looked through 3 didn't see anything of interest. The 4th and 6th units I hit goldmines!!!! 4th unit had 73 computer towers and 4 brand new Alienware Gaming systems!! The 6th unit had a total of 121 batteries and some brand new parts!!!!!!! He owned both units. The guy owed a little over $500 on the 2 units, I only had $200 on upon arriving to look at the units. I told him I could only give him $100 per unit and he didn't care just wanted them empty.

    So I ended up with:

    73 towers sold @ $15 each
    98 car batteries sold @ $13.50 each
    23 Diesel batteries sold @ $19.50 each
    4 Alienware Computers @ $1800 each
    Misc Car Parts $672

I did go back today and give the storage company the $317 that was owed on the unit so he wouldn't lose $ on the deal. Oh yea and 2 1.75 liter bottles of Absolut.

And to think that the guy could've just sold off like 5% of the value of the stuff and caught up on payments. I always think this when watching those storage auction shows. With some people the wind just blows in one ear and out the other.

It's not a bad thing really. But you really can only bid of the stuff you see. I just got lucky and he let me climb through units to see what I wanted. If you have a garage or some place to store items then go for it! I have a storage company that calls me every month to pick stuff up so that he can save on disposal fees. I've loaded my truck at least 2 times every time he called. There are items that I have grabbed for a quick CL sale. (within 24 hours) Look at my other post under scrap spots which I posted about calling storage companies for scrap.

My uncle has a small storage unit not far from town. He doesn't do auctions though. When they don't pay up he just keeps what he wants and burns the rest. He showed me his burn pit and it's just riddled with metal. Told me he was just gonna bury it all. I said, "Don't bury money." Soon as I'm done with this load that I'm helping someone else out with I'm gonna go out there and have a hay day. At least a couple truck loads of some good 'ole rusty gold.

My wife hates my computer (no printer connection). Built for gaming. World of Warcraft in particular. Don't play it that much anymore, though. But years ago I played Everquest, lol.

It has 8 USB ports lol. But the printer spooler or something isn't supported or able to be downloaded. I've already have a comp tech guy try to hook it up, and he couldn't figure it out either.

I have been doing auctions but going to start doing the storage auctions as well. Thing is...having a deeper pocket than anyone else there an...being able to spend it all in one play

That part can be hard for me as I run a small recycling yard but something I have wanted to get into because you can make out like a bandit.

Re-cycler, if you just weld some of those wheels together and make a fence or divider, you'll have room for your new vehicle....waiting for pictures !!

New season for the shows just started so there are bound to be alot of newbs out. I haven't lost money on a unit yet, broke even on one. Strangest unit so far was a mortuary that must have closed, complete with pews, silk flowers, casket cart and an embalming machine complete with tools.
