I have about 100 assorted ink cartridges and got on Planet Green's website. I'm thankful that it is informative and has prices, and wished they would put the model #'s in order to make it easier to find. The vast majority of cartridges are $.05, or $.25 at the most. By the time you box up and deal with all the hassles, why wouldnt anyone get the store credit at Staples (assuming there is one nearby). Just about everyone uses office supplies or other stuff they sell there. $5-$15 or $200 credit? Its a no brainer.

The best part is that Staples actually sells other household items like laundry and dishwasher detergent, batteries, coffee, and toilet paper. It's been free daily use items for us for months now. You can even order everything online for better assortments of products and have it delivered for free to your local Staples. Just my two cents...

...not to beat a dead horse, but I just discovered today that Staples online has a pretty extensive selection of hand tools. You could be turning those printer cartridges into useful and much needed tools each month!

Thanks for that info I would never suspected they carried tools. I checked the list and found several items I am planning on buying anyway. Mike

you're very welcome. every little bit helps, and I was pretty impressed with the selection. I found a few of my "want list" items as well and am planning to pick them up next month when my rewards kick in!

I had a whole tub full of ink cartridges built up, mainly from all the printers I get from the resale shop. So, I scoured this forum of names of places that buy them, sorted out the cartridges that appeared to have >50cents in value, and sent each company an identical email with a few questions that I had about particular models. The only place that bothered to reply was ecyclegroup, so I signed up with them & sent a box full of empties their way.

It took 2 weeks to get my check, so this isn't about fast turnaround, but still I could scarcely be happier with the transaction. All I had to do was find a box & some tape... they sent an envelope with 5 UPS labels when I signed up, so all I had to do was box them up, slap on a label & send them out & wait for my check.

Now I just need to get off my duff & start taking the rest to the bigbox office supply stores. Their roadblocks don't make this as attractive of a deal as it could be, though.
