    Ink Cartridges..

Has anyone ever had any luck with ink jet printer cartridges?

A few months ago I got ahold of 500-600 of these or more. I had never really delt with anything like that before so I started making phone calls. None of the yards in my area were taking any type of e-wast or anything even related (still not sure if they are ) did find one place that would give me .25-.40 each depending on the brand. Bad part was I had only about 125 or so they would pay for...

Then I came across an ad for staples payin $3 each,in store credit. I really cleaned up, but ended giving them about 300 because they were off brand. Now they will give you credit for any type, but you can only do like 10 a month I think. Still its not bad could use the credit to pay for some flyers, or business cards :-) its worth checking into.

Try to find a local ink jet refill shop, I sell all my ink jets to him for $1 each, and toner carts for $3-$4 each.

Awsome idea! We just had one open near me, I work at a printing firm, so from time to time u get a hold of both ink and toner cartridges. I'll have to pay them a visit next time I get some.

Office Depot has a similar program as well. If you have both in the area, you can get lots of supplies. If you have kids, those school supplies are right around the corner.

Good idea focker. I have about 30 right now.. but I set up my regular collection boxes at work, so I will have several hundred of these again in no time. I called the two loclal refill shops in town, and best they could offer was $2 off thepurchas of a new one guess I will keep shopping em around. I have never used eBay as a seller, maybe its time to learn.

I used to get ink cartridges out of dumpsters back in college. I sold to some companies online and had a good experience. I can't remember which company it was but doing a Google search for "sell used ink cartridges" came up with http://www.inkjetcartridge.com/selusyourem.html and http://www.tonerbuyer.com/mylist.html as the top two results. They have a price list on there as well. Ebay may be another way to go as well. I guess it depends on what you have as some are worth more than others.

Not a problem glassman. There's places around Atlanta here that will buy the plastic in bulk, although not for much. Maybe there's a place near you in Louisiana. Something to think about!

Come Monday I will be contacting Toner Buyer for more information. I would much rather sell cartridges then get a store credit.

I'm new here...but this is kinda my specialty. I found that the best buyer for most cartridges is Planet Green. They seem to pay the most on average. For cartridges they don't take, or pay less than $0.20, I send those to TerraCycle for $0.20 a pop. Beats Staples credit, in my mind.

But I think for Dec. Staples had the double price credit for every cart. up to $4. ea.

Yep, them and The eCycle Group who just paid me $195 for 30 Dell RF223 toner cartridges and they pay the shipping, even send you boxes.

Beauty of this, besides the $$, was that the empty cartridges were delivered to my doorstep.

I originally used the eCycle Group but they don't take nearly as many inkjets or pay as much as Planet Green.

Family business no child labor laws. And by the way kids probably cost more than union labor when you add it all up.
