Woot, first home job lined up.

Was at a cook out last night and got a tour of their Victorian house. They showed me a few rooms that they want to start remodeling. One is the attic, with a few items that they need to get out so they can fix it up a bit for a better storage area. Old lamps with brass deco on them and various metal fixtures. The other room used to be a small kitchen but the lady wants to make it her office. Cast iron sink built into a metal cabinet section. Old heavy gas stove and some other cabinets and counter tops with metal and stainless steel. Then the garage, they have storm windows/doors for what used to be there that don't fit with the new windows they put in as well as more lamps and other metal items. I get it all. Hoping to be able to get down there sometime before Friday, Beings that is the only day I have to drop off at the yard.

Good find! One thing to check out with the scrap yard you sell to - about that cast iron sink. One place I sold to wouldn't pay cast iron rate for anything coated with ceramic, etc. They'd only give the "Light Iron" or "Mixed" rate. If you have a choice of several places, call around before you haul sinks, tubs etc. As much as they weigh, it can make a significant difference.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Thanks, for the tip. I don't have to many options around here where I am, but will definately check it out. I have a cast iron tub in the basement when I can finally get all the storage containers out of the way for it so I will have to find out about how they will pay it.
