    Love the new style washers!!! Pics

    Love the "new" type washers... SS drums and n ice little easy acess copper windings.. Few minutes with the grinder and have a nice little pile of copper!!

    If the windings are from the motor are you sure they are copper? The vast majority of the windings I have seen from the motors have been aluminum.

    I hate em, I can sell the old style washers to repair guys for at least $25 each but the new ones with the electronics in them are good only for the metal content.

    So are those the new front loader types?

    Man, im glad you posted this. I ALWAYS break washers/dryers all the way down. The yard has always bought my SS drum the way it is with the plastic on it, still paid me full price. Now i'll clean er up, thats for sure.

    looks to be copper... and yes i can see how the repair guys would hate them..lol.. like a computer inside.....

    I just got one of the new ones Saturday and looked inside and saw what looked to be a SS drum. This bear was heavy too, 2/3 the size of an older dryer and twice as heavy. But alas, when I tried the magnet test on the drum it stuck, so no SS for me. Oh well, still got some nice wiring harness and a storage unit for small ferrous scrap.
