Texas heat melt down

For anyone here in texas should know what I am talking about....this heat is killing us...we may have rolling black outs an they don't know how long them black outs will be.



Some people have died today due to the heat from there air not working for one reason or another....its getting very hot ya'll....

I am shutting all outside projects down an no work will be done outside with this heat...its not worth my heath or the heath of my workers. You all may want to do the same an not work in this heat if you can help it.

every one down here in Texas will love that...hell...at this time I think we will send buckets....our lakes are LOW...

There is a hurricane or something in the golf....I heard on the radio an one of the talk people said well...hell send it a invite to the DFW an we will all have a party...

Kinda funny but sadly...the truth...if we dont get rain soon an the heat brakes...we are going to having some real fun.

Been very hot and humid here also but at least we are use to it and are prepared for it.
Not to mention the heat makes my work, to provide for my family. Without the stifling heat I would go hungry!

I am all up for heat and hard work..I wont shy away from it but this is getting out of hand. This heat will kill someone in hours...its not worth it.

I am doing inside work only for right now....doing small brake down an boxing stuff up where there is cold air to keep from getting over heated.

When you are working outside in this heat..its easy to forget how long you been working an how hard you been working.

I saw pictures of lakes that dried up and one that had gonr down so far it uncovered some space shuttle debre. You need more rain than we do in So. AZ maybe some of our monsoon will go your way!

A friend of mine is a truck driver. He was in Houston yesterday and he took a picture of his outside temperature reading, it was 118. Holy Crap!!

I heard it was hot out. I've stayed inside on the odd chance that the weatherman was right. Texas summers are hell.

I live about a half hour or so south of Ft Worth, I have a 4 car carport attached to my workshop, so I have no problem staying in the shade. Even so though I still limit my time outside. In the spring to wind down I would spend evenings on the porch stripping insulated wire (relaxing for me), but am hoarding it now waiting for it to cool off. Even with the sun going down in just a few minutes on the porch I am sweating my butt off. In the spring I had run out of insulated wire to strip, but now I have four 5 gallon buckets full waiting to be stripped. I really do not like to do the insulated inside, as sometimes I slice into the strands, and they can get into the carpet. I have done that and stepped on a couple of slivers, so no longer. Oh well, will give me plenty to do once the heat breaks (if it ever does).

ouch, wayne....I have a 6'x6' piece of tarp that I keep clean for stripping wire inside. A painters tarp or moving quilt would work also.

I have thought about something like that. I might have to revisit it.

Yea the heat is still killing us or...it is me and for my workers. We are taking it easy an doing what we can when we can. Hope the heat passes soon.
