    Cool Tomorrow's Load

    Hi All,

Got what I see as a pretty big load for tomorrow. Hate selling at this moment, and would like to say it's because I see a lot of downside in the market. But when it really comes down to it, I need the money!

I got a bucket and more of #1 copper, and then there is the stuff I'm not sure how its gonna sell. The tinned copper, some ropes of small stranded copper, and other copper we have collected. Plus there is the aluminium wire we stripped, some cans, and a bunch of aluminium. Then we will fill the truck with a bunch of steel we have around here.

I think the decision for the place to sell depends on how the tinned copper will be handled, because I got one big bucket of the stuff. So another 25 to 50 cents is a pretty big deal. But will look at over all prices. I keep hearing that the yard in Hartford City pays higher prices, has a very loose definition on #1 copper. But isn't the deal always better just 20 miles away.

Wish us luck, we need a good payday on this one!

    Duke

I agree dryve12, but have heard from 2 different people the guy in Hartford takes it as #1. I doubt it myself, but a phone call won't hurt.

Wow! Fell over the scale at the scrap yard. Could I have made myself look any worse?

Had a doc appointment, and left the sheet in the truck. Here are the numbers.

    220 Shred @ $230/ton: $25.30
    25lbs copper #1 @ $3.25: $81.25
    47lbs copper #2 @ $3.05: $143.35
    22lbs sheet aluminium @ $.50: $11.00
    5lbs cans @ $.60: $3.00

    Total: $263.90

    Nice payday

Don't worry about it........ we all have embarrassing moments. At least you didn't do the electric slide with your tailgate and a fish hook.

Well, guess I hurt my left knee pretty good falling over that stupid scale. I have a half grapefruit sized lump over my left knee. The ER doc shot some pics and says no breaks, no fluids. Just a really bad case of Tendonitis, and being older its going to take some time to heal. Just shoes ya gotta be careful out there
