1965 ford mustang fenders

A good friend in Va Beach has a 1965 ford mustang he is building for his daughter. He had contacted me via fb and let me know he had some car parts for me. I finally make it to his house after dealing with my own retirement ceremony and he had the front fenders one of which was in great shape and the muffler and the exaust and a few other pieces. well i scrapped the stuff that was rusted through and I had my wife put the fenders on CL which she finally got around to. Long story short I made 100 bucks off the one fender that was in decent shape. It pays to have friends that work on old cars!

And it pays to know not to scrap that stuff too! Congrats on the easy money and thanks for saving some classic parts. Once they are gone, they're gone! Even though those fenders are reproduced, nothing fits like the originals. Good luck selling the other stuff!

Many car parts can easily bring well over scrap prices... There is a pretty decent mini truck scene here in town, there are a few guys who set up at shows with old truck doors, most any kind, but especially S10, and small truck like...they will put about an hour work in the doors, shaving the handles, hit em with a DA and shoot em in primer, put almost no money in em and sell em for $100 + with no problem

I have the hub caps to a 1965 mustang if he's interested. Got them when I scrapped out an above ground pool some hippies turned into a trash heap.
