I believe those are worth a bit more than scrap, but I don't know your yards pricing.

I Know I'm A Scrapper When...
I or You have full understanding of what people throw out - and buy. Information that many company's need and use. Via corporate finance and applied statistics, as to discover peoples purchasing wants and desires .
= What a scrapper knows would make them envious =

Call into work for a eye apointment and take a load to the scrapper first lol that's what I'm doing know.
When I see an 18" strip of insulated copper wire walking into the apartment with groceries knowing I need to get back down there before someone else gets it. Thinking to myself, after it's stripped it should yield 1 ounce of #1 and at $3.45 per lb its worth almost 22 cents! Score!
Was driving down to Indy when we passed a Duke Energy truck. And on the back was a big roll of beautiful bare copper, and of course my son started talking about how sweet that stuff would be to scrap. I told him the copper looked great, but if I ever found out he was stealing any copper like that, he best turn himself in, cause jail would be the only place he was safe!
HAHA Duke that is funny.

You know you're a scrapper when you're headed to a well paying job and you stop to pickup a $1 wad of cable on the side of the highway.
When you try to mentally figure out the scrap content of about everything you run across in the day. LOL

You now you are a scrapper when your day starts a six am you eat lunch at two thirty and the scrap yard closed thirty minutes before you got there,

When you can't say no to even the smallest bit of scrap you pass ..... just got to pick it up .
OR can't help taking it apart no matter how small it is (you know that theres nothing in there but still open it)
Dream about scrap (or is that just me?)

In my day job we auction insolvent companies assets for the creditors...as part of this we first give a rough value of the assets and then 'lot-up' items to try and get the best return. While in conversation with my co-worker i found we both had the same problem ... everywhere i go i sort of 'lot' things together and estimate the value.
It's not a job thats popular with some people (Ex-employees think we are killing their jobs but trust me when a companies so far down the pan , in so much debt and we find the owners have taken a lot of money out- they rarely leave broke) then someones got to do it.
