Well, unlike the garbage man, we do recycle the items we collect. The scrap yard we go to, takes it to their main plant in DC, and from there it is recycled.
The garbage people just take it to the dump where it says forever.

A lot of city ordinances are scrapping out of the landfills now, in a fashion "recycling" ... Nothing you can do about it but beat them to the metal.... As long as it's legal or have permission.

update: NEVER WENT BACK AND, YES I LEFT ALL SCRAP WHEN I WAS TOLD TO, (AFTER I ASKED THE HOMEOWNER IF THIS WAS GARBAGE AND THEY SAID YES AND THEN I SAID CAN I HAVE IT AND THEY SAID NO...) ANYWAYS. IM SWAMMED WITH MY 9-5 JOB, NO COMPLAINTS HERE. HAV A GOOD LDW GUYS/GIRLS!!

I don't even know what to say to this. These folks are down on their luck right now and nobody has to let anyone take their stuff if they don't want you to. I can't believe you called the cops on a Hurricane victim because they wouldn't let you take their ''junk'' which to them is not junk but stuff they now don't have to use. Wow, just....wow.

Yeah im sure i could, im over it , the town took all the good stuff , so i wouldnt be expecting any calls anytime soon.
