Trash night treasure 9/26/11

Well trash night was good for me and the boy tonight. the daughter had a long day of school practice and homeowrk and didnt want to go so the boy went with me. We got 2 tv's, 2 BBQ's, vacuum, 2 box fans 1 works, some speakers, and probable 400 pounds of loose metal. Almost forgot got a stack of 5 gallon bucktes too

Nice haul! it has been slow here in the last week I got 2 motherboards and 4 tie rods . sloooooow

Got a refrigerator, stand up freezer, bike, and I got a stack of 5 gal. buckets too! A scrapper can never have too many buckets!!

I have noticed an interesting trend around here. More and more people are putting out their garbage out in the morning rather than in the evening. I think it is because of the shear number of scrappers that are digging through the cans. I only ever grabbed the stuff I could see on the side of the cans or on the top and never dug through the cans, but the new scrappers are digging in the cans. If they like diapers, let them have at it.

^^ You know, I've also noticed folks not putting out until either very late or early morning and I had wondered also if it was for that reason.

I only dive in the dumpsters at aprtment places. I wont dig in trash cans I only pick up what is out and easy. I will pull something if its sticking out of a can but I always leave it as clean or cleaner then when I arrived. I have even taken a vacuum out of a can then put the trash they had sitting beside the can that didnt fit into the can.

I wont dig either unless its something on top or just electronics. I have also put garbage on the ground into the cans when done.

You're lucky your kids will help, out of my three one will let me know where stuff is, one has tossed stuff in his trunk for me and the other could care less! But none will drive around with me.
