Email me your phone number. Yes, I do now have a 'regular' guy that I'm dealing with, but it may change in the future. He just got out of the army, can't find any real work, and is thinking about moving back east.

My workplace can store around 1,000 to 1,200 lbs. before it gets too crowded and I'm climbing over stuff. The last load was 1,100 lbs. and it all fit in the back of a full sized pickup.

Tip:
I have vendors in Santa Clara that buy from me. There are many small warehouse complexes that are on the south side of Lawrence Expressway from Kifer Road to Highway 101. They leave their dumpsters in the open in their rear parking lots. Many of these places deal in surplus electronics. Many of them also dump the empty chassis of salvaged equipment, or dump inventory that doesn't sell (like server racks, etc). One time, I saw a place dumping a mountain of pallet racks. Most of these places are closed on Sundays, so you shouldn't have any problems picking in peace, and you're really not visible to the public.

Dang, if I could make a living by fishing; you'd never get me off the water.

Tell your father-in-law if he ever wants to plan a fishing holiday, he should try Lake Nacimiento near Paso Robles. It's about 150 miles south of San Fran, but it's worth the drive from anywhere in the state.

The lake started off as a hatchery for a hybrid fish called a white bass. It's a cross between a freshwater perch and a striped bass. The average catch size is about 2 1/2 lbs, and the lake record catch is 7 1/2 lbs. These fish taste incredible. The meat just melts in your mouth.

There is no limit at this lake because they reproduce so quick, and the lake staff don't encourage throwing any of them back (regardless of size). Two other buddies and I fished a three day weekend there and brought back 75 fish on the first day. We probably freaked out the motel cleaning lady because we kept the catch of the first day in one of the room's bath tub while we went out on the second day. All of us had to buy a deep freezer when we got back home )
