    Gearing up for trash night..

I've noticed that there are a ton of yard sales this Columbus Day weekend. I've also noticed the free section of Craigslist blowing up with curb alerts. I have a feeling that it's gonna be a good trash night this week.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to finish up a project that will make me a bit more efficient. I have an atlas of my area that I'm cross-referencing with the local trash schedule that's available online so I can have the trash nights highlighted in different colors for the different pick up days. Last week I filled the truck 2 1/2 times but the next day I realized I missed 2 nearby developments. This week my goal is 4 loads.

The good thing is that my area is so large that there's a trash night almost every day of the week. Granted, I can only do my one a week, but on big weeks like this it will save me from checking areas that don't have a trash night. Then if I have time on an off day, I can shoot to an area for a quick lap.

Anyone else have any prep tips for a busy week? I'm still new at it all so any advise is appreciated.

    Happy hunting!!!

for me, when I get pick up requests via phone, email, chat, or submission I always find out what exactly I am getting. for craigslist, I would say try to get an idea as to what they have and then plan your trips out accordingly. this way you can get the bigger stuff out of the way and can toss smaller stuff in the holes and cracks

hoping for the same in my neck of the woods. Weather has been good and lots of yard sales. Made the short drive to my parents house earlier this evening and was able to grab a yard sale leftovers that people had placed out by the curb on the way.

Meh. Ended up being an OK night and nothing special. Hopefully everyone on this route is just holding on to the good stuff since it's "bulk pick-up" for them on Friday. Maybe if I'm good I'll be allowed to go out Thursday night too, haha.

    Tonight I got:

    dehumidifier
    large microwave
    DVD player
    HP printer/scanner
    carpet shampooer
3 heavy old aluminum frame windows
    screen door
    seed/fertilizer spreader
    misc scraps
& 2 almost new hockey sticks

    Not great, but not bad.
