    Ebay purchase leads to HAUL!!

So I won 2 x compaq servers on ebay for $10. When I get to the computer repair store to collect them today, I ask the shop assistant to take a look at my flyer, and see what they may want to get rid of.

She calls the owner and then says 'he has some junk out the back if you want it?'

So we go out and BANG!!!!!!!

I spy a mountain of gear!! About 35 - 40 towers, massive pile of cables, drives, power supplys etc.

There was also a big heap of CRT monitors, about 40 I rekon. On my flyer I state that I will take CRT but they will incurr an $8.00 handling fee (they cost me $3 ea to get rid of) Next she says I can have THE LOT!! and the boss will be happy to pay for me to take each of the CRT's!

Also, would I mind doing a pick up every 2 months??? Well....I guess I could. PMSL!!

Fooking awesome! I loaded up my car as much as I could, and will return for the rest in a day or two

**Was too excited to get a pic, but here is a short video of load No 1 or the 3 loads I will do, the 4th load will be the 40 odd CRT's, pay before I haul, thats the deal

So my $10 investment just made me $320 in CRT collection fees, and 3 full loads of gear to scrap out!!

    Thanks!

Good deal. You should be able to work up a load here very shortly.

47 towers will give you a nice penny.

    Thanks for the replies

Do you believe I actually thought about NOT bidding on the server units on ebay!!! LOL

My point is, life unlocks many doors for you, sometimes you don't know whats on the other side untill you walk on through!

It was meant to happen, and this scrappig thing for me was meant to succeed...well thats how I'm reading it anyway
