Every guy has at least one girl from their past that they would sell their soul to the devil just to see again.
I got a call from a local University to pick up some old video surveillance systems.
I’m walking across a large campus courtyard and notice at the opposite end, there’s a girl walking toward me that’s the splitting image of a girl I used to date in high school. Seeing her instantly brought me back in time many years ago and I started daydreaming while not realizing that I was staring at her the entire time.
She noticed me staring at her and she stopped and expected me to say something to her as we met in the middle of the courtyard. I came back to earth, embarrassed that I probably looked like a stalker to her, and the only thing I could manage to say was “I’m not a stalker or an axe murderer, but you look EXACTLY like someone I knew a long time ago. I’m sorry if I freaked you out by staring at you.”
She asked me who this other girl was to me and we talked for a few minutes. Upon ending our conversation, she told me that she hopes I’ll meet this girl again some day. I remarked “The only other thing that would freak me out any more after seeing you would be if your name was Gail.” She answered “That’s my Mom’s name.”
Yep, the girl of my dreams was this girl’s mother.
Has it really been that long ago?
I feel so dang old now. It’s time to go to the drug store and pick up some Centurm and Depends on the way home.
