I dont think it was about taxes. No we do not send out 1099s. Thats why I am sitting here thinking what the hell was up with that.

I stand by my earlier theory that he pillaged another scrapper's stash - maybe even tried to cheat a scrapping partner and he knew the girl/guy might come looking for who took the computers. Or the police or child support enforcement were after him. He was hiding from someone, I believe.

Perhaps he was part of a large cyber crime group. I am being serious, they would completely mess the hard drives up but why not sell the other parts.
a cyber criminal would hopefully be smarter than to freak out about a situation which would bring him extra attention. a good criminal would politely decline and leave, not throw a tantrum.
my guess is he was dealing with stolen material or he has active warrants for either previous crime, or child support and he is afraid if his name pops up the warrant squad that is looking for him would be that much closer to tracking him down and locking him up.
We're the renegades of Junk!
I do have to say the warrant thing is most likely it...he just does not want to show up...now if it is a warrant...how much is his head worth? hmmm

Ha! touche, easy. you're a genuine entrepreneur. if i wasnt a convicted felon, i would have been a bounty hunter myself.... im not "allowed" to have a gun.
Well....he did not want to sell me the items by the rule books...so I would like to make money one way or another off of him..and its not like I am sending him to a bad place.
He will have a REALLY close friend.
He will have good food
a bed to sleep in
guards to make sure no one brakes in (or out)
a shower once a day
what can you hate about that?
Just had a thought- maybe he never got a driver's license or maybe they took it away- DUI or driving under suspension maybe.
is it really that bad over there? Ive been thinking about moving to texasAnyone who has been to Dallas know...if you a dirty diaper outside somone will steel it..
Not that far back I had someone take the safety chains right off my trailer, a week or two back...someone took the lids off my oil totes. Why someone will steel that....I have no clue.
I leave stuff in the back of my truck all the time and its usually fine...
most my neighbors as well as trucks in other neighborhoods leave lots of scrap stacked in the back of their trucks park in front of their house and no one ever steals from them
collecting san joses scrap
Where I live its fine...but IN dallas...you want to lock you truck up and hide anything that they can take off real easy.
But if your on the outside of the city in the "better" parts of town your fine. I drive in and out of Dallas so I tend to have some of the dumbest things go missing.
Some parts of Dallas I wont go unless I am packing because it can get down right that crazy. Hell...it was on the news...the cops dropped a bait truck and someone jacked it and ran it into someones house to get the door to open...they where not able to get a hold of them.
