The road of no return, yes sir your transmission is on the bench being worked on right now. My question is how far into this did you authorize the shop to dwell into the job.

Inspect or overhaul, big difference in price and it gives you the option of purchasing a good used transmission fro an auto wrecker. You the Boss Hoos direct your servants and thou shall reap the rewards.

Try yo get that type of service with a telephone call for a transmission you want built for a mud bogger or a rod your working on. Never happen, when they cant hold your garaged mud bogger as hostage.

My bet is that the carburetor guy never properly adjusted the kick-down linkage or the modulator got sacked. A simple vacuum test would have tested to later for proper function.

Usually when a modulator has a blown diaphragm the engine will smoke excessively from trans fluid being sucked into the intake or the engine will idle erratically.

Oh well another hard lesson learned.

You should have bought a shop manual and a box kit for your that transmission off of fleabay and overhauled it yourself. Rebuilding a transmission is a no brainer.
