    Scrap collecting Melbourne Australia

O.K, so at the moment we are having our "spring clean" kind of thing, we call it hard rubbish collection. basically you throw out all your unwanted crap (stuff that will not go in your trash cans)

I told you guys in another thread I would do some daylight videos...

This is my local area, all within about 10 miles around my place.

Sorry for the crappy phone vid quality, but you get the idea

    Cheers,

    Adam.

    ..another street..

    My first run pick ups.

I did a second run, but gotta go to work soon, so I will upload that tomorrow

    Peace.

That's cool thanks for the tour. We have the same thing here in Arvada, CO, goes over three weeks and the city is divided in thirds. Scrapping in a Benz, now that is classic.

LOL, yeah, a Benz that was saved from the crusher 6 mths ago, owes me $300

I have to stay close to home though, fuel here is at $1.70 per litre, which is like $6.50 AUD a Gallon!!!!!!!!!

Thats why no one really scraps in full sized trucks like y'all do. Even a 4 cylinder benz costs me $98 to fill the tank, and I get about 440km range (275 miles!!!)

So I NEVER wanna hear you lot complain about the cost of fuel!!

    Thanks.

But you're all driving on the wrong side of the street - how do you keep from having more accidents?
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

That video alone just freaks me out with the traffic, but thats how this whole area looks around garbage night every week. good finds and good luck.

I never realised that Aussies drive on the same side of the road as us!

Same road markings and wheelie bins too!!

How come the last video is marked as private?

Great load Torker. I never did read why "Torker Man", it does not translat directly into bad southern English.(bad because I not originally form the south) Please keep posting, Mike.

Well the Torker man thing comes from my other hobby, Vintage BMX. I am a collector of Torker BMX products, so if anyone had questions relating to that brand, it was like "go ask the Torker man, he'll know"

    Then it stuck from there

Here is load No 2.. it was just a small one as I was running out of time,,

Man, on my way to work this afternoon, I passed 1 pile that had 2 window a/c, and 4 split system a/c units!!!!!!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Oh well, make the best with what you have I guess...

Thanks for the tour Adam. You sure have picked up a lot of computers, heck I'd say like six months worth! Sorry I could not resist.
I could picture that kind of trash action in my town. The traffic would be at a stand still with scrap trucks pulled over at every drive way collecting.
