    Tanning beds

Ran across 3 tanning beds this morning ( at least I think that's what they were). It was snowing like crazy and I did not have any tools with me. I considered trying to load one up but these things were kind of big. I could see what looked like 2 samll electric motors, lots of wire, and a heavy metal frame of sorts. However these things had a huge heavy plastic shell or base which would have been difficult to get rid of as I dont think it would be readily broken up. Also looked like some stainless fittings and a few brass or copper fittings. May still go back and see if I can get the small motors and cut the wiring out and stainless fittings.

Anyone worked with these things before?

Maybe these aren't tanning beds as I saw no glass. Maybe some kind of reclinins chair that comes out of a salon or something. I think I will cruise back by and take a closer look.

Good luck mj, I had the fan on at my workbench yesterday. It has been in the 70's all week. If you get a helper and load those tanning/recliners or whatever...that should warm you up !

Hi Metaljacket, I have scrapped tanning beds numerous times. If you can get them I certainely would. They have some really good wire, multiple smaller fan motors and fairly large transformers. Wish you good luck!

THe bulbs are very expensive too. The one I did I just put the bulbs on CL for free and they were done in a couple days. The plastic I got rid of easy too neigher wanted it for his greenhouse glass.

57 degrees? Sounds like T-shirt weather to me Dee.
