Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

No, it was out the front of the neighbours yard, their kid did not want a guitar for christmas and this squier was lying around with a 15 watt amp by Marshall and its a freaking loud amp, I use it for my solo gigs, It has effects such as delay chorus flanger phaser and reverb. the amp is a Marshall MG15fx, the guitar is a 2007 Squier Affinity Strat MII (Made in Indonesia) the serial number i dont know if its there or not but i slapped on some 11 52 gauge strings on it

TP, I just noticed that you haven't posted in the intro section....please go there, read the sticky...you'll see it...and then tell us a little more about yourself. People will be more apt to help you if they know a little more about you. You still haven't said that you got permission to take the things from your neighbors yard. We do not advocate stealing in any fashion here.

Good deal and your starting at a great age. I started picking in trash ata very young age...lets just say if there was a law mower or weed-eater with in a 10miles from my home..I had it....along with anything else I thought was cool....(counting shinny rocks on the side of the road) lets just say...

My mother and father are not shocked when I started this company..they are shocked I waited as long as I did. But thats all another story.
My company name was Easy Recycle but has since been closed

Welcome mate! Nice to have another Aussie on here!

I must say for 13 your grammar and punctuation are way above what I would expect.

p.s before the "terminology police chime in" you are refering to trash or rubbish picking, dumpster diving denotes that you pulled the items from a bin or skip of some sort.

Just getting in before some of the more anal members do

I'm in NSW and i love trash picking! I just trash picked a old lap steel guitar with a 1952 telecaster and 2 old amps! I'm keeping em, the Tele will be used for country and the lap steel will be used for slide, The amps i trash picked were a Fender Deluxe reverb (Silverface from 1974) and a fender champ, They work and sound great along with my Strat and a few other guitars

We tend to find what is of interest to us at the time & thats key, as you learn what sells with value you will find more, for now you are probably missing out on the metals.
So when you see a bunch of cooking pots in the trash grab them take handles off, now you have 4 to 5 lb AL @ .50 Metal finds are not to be looked down upon for the small sums as yearly the sums for copper AL SS Brass will add up.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but why do you assume new members are guilty of theft straight away?

I would find that very off putting if I was a new member.

I for one will never justify where I get my scrap, regardless of who may ask, as I know that I do the right thing.

    Just asking

Come on Torker Man. No one said he was guilty of theft. She simply made a comment and gave some good advice. "We do not advocate stealing in any fashion here." What's wrong with that?

Welcome aboard TPAK2! Lots of great advice and help here. Read and learn.

^^^ O.K then, why not say

"welcome to the forum just a tip, make sure you get permission from the home owner if you are not sure. best of luck"

better to sound like a friend, than a grumpy old school headmaster/mistress don't you think?

'tone' (second only to sarcasm it seems) is very difficult to portray over a keyboard, and that post isn't on its own.

and while we are at it "you STILL haven't" its like he has ignored a comand or something...

Because as we get older the filter doesn't work quite as well any more, not too mention just plain being fed up with the whole "politically correct" movement.
