Yep, we used to get 6 weeks off school at Christmas, we don't have 'Thanksgiving day' here in NZ & Aussie.Originally Posted by sillllvar
Since its Mid summer, we have National holidays on the 25th & 26th December ('Boxing day' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_Day) & the 1st & 2nd of Jan (New Years day's) .
Normally workers finish work on the Thursday or Friday before Christmas & go back to work several days after the 2nd Jan.
Basically the whole country stops work, for about 10 days, there most stores open on a skeleton staff where its needed & everyone else goes on holiday.
Schools also have a May (end of summer) & August (winter) holidays too, 2 weeks or 3 depending on age.

Nope. not home schooled my mum rang the school and i am so happy, i saw a TV out at the neighbours yard that was blown up my mum would not let me trash pick it

I picked up a tv today - had the cord cut off and it rattled when I handled it. I decided it was probably already stripped inside and to not waste the space in my rig. If the tv was "blown up"- don't know what you mean exactly, but it could have already been picked over and had the copper removed.
TP, if you decide to scrap tvs or monitors, please read the archives about how to safely discharge the electric current that is stored in them - it can be very dangerous to not do so. Your mum needs to know if you're thinking about doing such a thing, so she can make sure you are scrapping them safely. (Or she may tell you to start with safer things). Best of luck to you.
