Who is to say the companies are honest but sure sounds like a good deal.
Even if a company offers free shipping you are still paying for the shipping with a reduced payout in the end. The big 'free shipping on
escrap' site out there is run by the same folks that run Cash4Gold.com and another person posted where they sent something like 35 lbs of mother boards in and got a check for like $4.
