this is better then any fiction story.

I could be a tv producer with the day I had today. it has every thing you want. highs lows drama, suspence and yes even some reward.

first some back ground. when My son Kyle turned 16 I gave him my all time favorite car a 1993 Mark 8 with a 4 cam 32 valve 4.6 the fastes badest car I ever owned as well as my favorite, some tome later the front end went out of it ball joints etc.
on his 18th birthday I gave him my 86 yamaha 750 zsx.

his mom wouldnt let him fix the mark so it has sat for 3 years, she wouldnt let him ride the bike, she says because it is too dangerous. I have other thoughts on both but any way

today while crusing CL I spot a 94 mark with trans problems for $500 I jump on it for $400 whoo hoo problems solved. oops not quite. Wifie hesitates. and suddenly has a stress problem and heads for bed lol. those of you who know my problem here will understand that, for the rest of you it is too long to go into. any way I digress.

I have the $400 so I loan it to Kyle to buy the car, in return he is going to sell his never used excorcize machine, for got the name. its the one with the fibreglass rods sticking up and attached to straps $600 bucks.
he is going to sell it for $200 and give me that and the motorcycle back.
done deal, lets go get this car before any one else gloms it. oops not so fast. mom needs to talk to him. I wont go into any more detail, just know the deal is dead.

while scanning CL and finding the car I come across a 2006 scooter , just what I have been looking for $200 but I chose to get Kyle the car instead of the scooter for me, so when his mom nixed the car I did end up with the scooter or will tomarow.

about an hour ago I get another CL call the guy wants to know if I still buy computer scrap. I told him I do he says he has a bunch and he will call after the hollidays he has to dig it out of his storage building. then he asks what do you haul it in, I told him a pick up and trailer and if needed a 1 ton van, he give me his number and says oh by the way your going to need a bigger truck : ) I love this life of mine never a dull moment.

I had a lady call me (left a msg) to pick up a riding mower and a rototiller. Called her back within the hour. No answer. Tried 3 more times over the course of a week. No answer and no return calls.

Dunno what that was all about, but I agree, don't hold your breath until it's actually in your hand.

Good job Olddude, There's always extreme highs and lows in this job. My ad keeps getting thrown off C.L. but in between someone had seen it and Snodley went down and snagged 4-5 towers and 3 boxes of misc. the guy had. We can't get them all, but if we can get some then I'll be happy.

I truely hope things get better for you soon. I know that having to deal difficult family memebers can be trying. It seems never ending and no easy way out. Hang in there and ask for help. Best to you, Mike.

That Mark 8 is a nice car. I have a '96 that is my summer weekend go get ice cream car. 300 HP and air ride with leather.....what's not to like....HAHA....Do some internet reading if you get time on the '93. Slightly modified mostly stock that car ran 180 mph in the salt flats at Bonneville. For it's time.....that was one sweet ride. Never say never but I'll live in a gaylord box before I let mine go......

This is awesome score Olddude now the icing on the cake would be for you to tell us you scored on the copper and that you no longer need a partner on that project.

Someday you may thank your wife for not letting your son ride that Yamaha 750 Triple cylinder motorcycle, especially if this would have been his first ride.

I started both my kids out on Honda 50 cc minis.
