Talking Shut my girlfriend up !

So the other day while doing normal business my girlfriend starts her usual dumass blabber about why i left the marine corps (i didnt leave i got hurt -.-) but anyway she starts how scrapping is a lowlifes job and the marines was alot better blah blah blah, just as shes talking i get a call its from a guy who has "a few things'' he wants to get rid of so i tell her to shut up and i run over there with my help - long story short he had 3 aluminum Engines 3 Transmissions 3 a.cs with freon already pumped out ,, (how ? idk) a cast iron boiler and an old oil tank - didnt take everything back to the yard at once but i ended up with around 850 dollars for it all - more than my girlfriend makes in a month i showed her the reciepts - needless to say i havent heard anything about scrapping from her since !

I can't stand when people act like a job is beneath them. I person does what they have to, to support themselves and their family. I was always taught, never look down on anyone who is out there trying to make a living.

Wierd whenever my CTC acts up I go into the office and make them Cut The Check. Money shuts up everyone once they see the check. Remember though the scrap industry is feast or famon.

My girlfriend wasn't too crazy about me breaking stuff apart in our garage, and letting things pile up until I have time to process them. She hates when I ask her to go junk picking, or if I have a contact I need to pick up from. Recently we've been having money issues (well, more than recently, but lately it's been bad). She realized how much that extra little bit I get from scrapping was helping us, especially last week when she needed extra money to catch up on her bills.

She's already told me she's fine with me doing this, but wants me to stop when I get out of school/start working fulltime. Umm, I'm going to school to work on cars...every part that comes off a car is money, and theres no way in hell i'm throwing that away. It pains me enough now having to do it at school....watching our scrap bin fill up with all the goodies I know I could make a buck off...it's sad.

I used to make money as a craftsmen which may come back, during that time of my life i sure wish i knew about scrap. LOOK go to school get that job But as long as you can, Scrap , Now you are scraping full time use your time well as you teach your self the most efficient way to work , One day when you have the other job you will know how to scrap low key . Sure lets face it, scrap has an advantage, if you have it, you can sell it .
I find the best thing to do, is to do as much work as you can on the road so you don't come home with 12 Vacs TV's etc
But for sure when you hit it true scrap pays !!

Scrapping has saved our house from foreclosure, so when other people laugh or ask me "why on earth would you want to do THAT??" I don't even bother with an answer. Where other people see a dumpster, i see a really big treasure box.

You be surprised on how much money individuals and even companies make off scrap metal.

Everything, that any SCRAPPER recycles gets re used for every day items that we use all the time. This is why, it is always in high demand, and normally prices are so good.

Family and friends know that I own more than 1 business, but they sometimes shake their head at me for owning my recycling business. I tell them that it is just another means for money...any business that I own anymore not only is making me money, but clients as well.

I save my recycling clients money 24 7!
