    Two e-waste jobs this week!

Hi all, I've been reading all of your past posts and getting awesome ideas. So thank you all very much.

I've been crazy busy with my websites and on top of that I just got two e-waste jobs this week.

Today I just got back from the first. A friend of my cleans out foreclosures. Her job today must have been a computer teacher. She let me have everything. My poor Dakota needed help so I borrowed a trailer. It was a 1.5hr drive but I came home today with 76 CRT's, 35 complete computers, two boxes of drives and a few other misc things(including more than a few bruises, dang basement stairs!!). My truck and trailer were overloaded! I had to do 50mph all the way home on the expressway. There was still 10+ monitors and 20 or so computers that she put in her trailer that I'll be picking up from her later this week.

Add to that a contact I'd been speaking with finally setup a time. This Friday I should be getting 5 gaylords of old (like AS400) machines. Sweet! He is the tech for a local factory. They are finally getting rid of all of their old computer stuff they've had since the 80s! I'll try to get some pictures to share.

All this from word of mouth!

Sounds like you wont have time for dumpster diving for a while. Good job.

Thanks guys! I hope the weather holds out for tommorrow. This is only my second time driving the truck with the trailer. As it is I drove like a granny last time. If it keeps snowing I'll be driving even slower! Fortunately tomorrow's pickup is only 20 miles away.

I'll try to get some pictures up as soon as I can.

@George B - You are probably right but when I'm by a dumpster I just can't help peeking in. I'm gonna need a bigger truck!!

Hi, thanks! Actually I make it a goal to speak with two people everyday and at every job two more. When I got my car repaired I talked with them and they let me leave some cards on their counter. I got the 2nd load from that. The first load was just from mentioning to a friend what I did. I just tell everyone and always have a business card in my pocket. So far I've done pretty good.

I know the feeling. I will occasionally do that still myself.
