    feeling happy but distressed

See i am in need of around $1700 and i have a stock pile, now i am going through yolks then i have dehumidifiers / AC's that beget motors and I dare say I have 1500 pounds of motors as is
I refuse to sell at cost but taking this stuff apart FINALLY is totally overwhelming yet i feel grateful that the luck of finding was given to me. If i sell out the motors as is i will get at least 750 0r take apart 1250 & 120 short total $ 1370
If i don't get this money by Mon each week i will pay late fee of $45
Any way I see a need for 5 days for this work:eek:

I NEED INSPIRATION I did not save this stuff to sell out at cost !! Pressure from wife and i am only at 60 lb with yolks This is going to be a long night. I am going to make a fire to warm things up a bit .

Make the wife help. I can't stand ppl that complain and won't pitch in to help.

If that's a no go, got any friends you could talk into helping out for a bit and pay them with a case of beer?

That's a tight budget and a short amount of time for one person. I agree, you need some help with all of that.

With all due respect to your wife...she needs to help. I bet when you put cash in her face, she won't have much to say then!

Also, where is the stuff sitting at where you are going to be paying a late fee and in others way?

You can do it! I stayed up for 3 days straight during before Christmas trying to get my stuff done so I could get my wife the present I wanted to. I worked when my kids were taking naps and when my wife got home from work till she got up for work the next day. She did help one day but I know you can get that stuff done! Good luck.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

I applaud you for staying awake for 3 days straight with no sleep (if I read that correctly). For me, 48 hours is all I can really do, and that was for Church lol.

If I understood your post correctly thats a 6800.00 dollar a month commitment, and I thought a 944.00 a month truck payment was nuts.

Here is a good recipe for the long haul ( got this from an extreme service Air Force manual) work eight hours then rest with eyes closed for 45 minutes followed by 4 oz. of coffee. Eat very lightly at 10am and 2 pm (or 10 pm/2am) to fight off the sleepiness of the circadian rhythm shifts. Avoid sugar..good balance of protein and carbs. Alternate standing and sitting positions if possible every hour. I just pulled a really tough weekend before X-mas to clean purchased material, I had every last $$ in a large copper/brass buy. Back rubs from wife?? Drink plenty of water as well. Hang tough!!

I love are67's advice. I would come, too. But since most of us are so far apart it sorta makes it hard. But we can pray for you and hope that you can pull it off. Dee

Complaining never got anything done. You need to suck it up and get it done no matter what the odds are stacked against you. Its kinda along the line of everyone wants a job but not everyone wants to work.

Well, Pistone, we are like family here....maybe he has no one else he feels comfortable sharing with. Copper Head has been on this forum since Aug and my impression has been that he works hard. I don't understand that much of an obligation each month either, but that's none of my business. I just want him to know that we care.

Dee I am not saying I don't care about his situation I am just saying in the scrap industry which is the toughest industry in my mind to make a buck you need to eliminate the word can't from your vocabulary that's all I am saying and I am not judging his work ethic either. Heck I think hes in Cleveland if I can remember from other posts. I am only an hour south and if I didn't have this newborn I would be glad to spend a day breaking down motors no pay no nothing in return I feel for people who need cash quickly. I also have allot of connections in NE Ohio still even though I live in Saint Louis, MO. So if he wants a better price send me a PM I might be able to help him out on that front.

I don't know where you live but around here there is no shortage of people who will work for beer and/or cigarettes- many of the people get disability and by this time of the month they are broke. I'm not suggesting hiring them as a permanent workforce, but you could probably walk into any bar and get some day labor in a pinch. Some of them may be skilled, just out of work - just don't give them the beer until the work is done!

I'd have to agree with Dee. Get out there and git r done! That's why I never get much posting done, I'm always picking up, breaking down, hauling in, etc.
