My Mom said there would be days like this

Here it is the 8th and all I have managed to find is one fan and a computer. And that is for the whole week. Eeek!! Time for me to hit the pavement a little harder. I'm feeling the pressure!

The Shirelles - Mamma Said....I LOVE THAT SONG! I would have to admit that is a bad week. Though i've been bussy playing catch up from calls before christmas, Jan. is like the worst month. It should start picking up at the end of the month because it's tax refund time. GOOD LUCK!

Don't know if this will help, but I do well cruising trailer parks on trash night - maybe because the people who live in them have less room than in a house so they pitch more stuff and maybe they buy lower quality stuff to begin with. Anyhoo....good luck, img, hope your luck improves.

Not sure if you do tvs but I have gotten over 100 this week alone....They are messy, time consuming, but in this economy I do what I have to. People give tvs away all the time on craigslist and you can make money with these if you know what you are doing and combine pickups

Yes.yes trailer parks fo-sho now!! Contact the park manager and organize a "park clean-up day", print 1/4 page flyers listing what you will take and do it on a Saturday morning for 2 hours. I have done that many times and it hits well. Go get em'!

I hear ya. Do you hit the CL free stuff section? When all else fails, that's what I do (and have done this past week). Good tips from other people in this thread too.

I have found January to be a good time to check with restaurants, they often put off new equipment purchases till the new year for tax reasons and then they have old stuff to scrap.

Not to bad, pull 4 screws and release the circuit board and pull all the degaussing wire and put it back together.

Don't let it get to you. You will have weeks where you can make thousands, and you will have weeks where you might just make $50. Just the nature of the business, but keep your chin up!
