    gazelle.com?

Saw an ad on t.v. forthis company, they say they will buy your used electronics so i went through the process for a desk top and a cell phone both came back "Even though we can't pay you, we'd still like to help you recycle it responsibly. It's easy. Just click the 'recycle' button to add it to your box. As long as something else in your box has value, we'll still pay for shipping." ?

I have used them for cell phones. The models can't be real old. But I did sell them 185.00 worth. Was happy with the speed of the transaction. But on certain models they will only allow you to sell a certain number every 30 days. But so far I'm happy with them

I browsed it to see what they would give for my phone. Nothing. Even if in excellent shape.

iPhone 4 16GB broken would get 65. In good condition would get 157.

They don't buy them by the lb. I had 8 phones. Some i1, blackberry 8350i, and I686. The nextel phones. The lowest price was the blackberry's. With batteries and chargers I only got $11. But since nextel is going by the way side in less than a year. I was happy to unload them. I have about 30 more phones to sell them, but like I said certain phones have a limit within 30 days.

I've used them several times, especially for graphing calculators that my sons have accumulated over the years. I found them very reasonable and very up front. If the item is old, they usually will not pay you for it but will recycle it. I guess the little they get out of old electronics enables them to pay for shipping.

Ebay has a similar program called Instant Sale through one of their partners. Close in pricing to gazelle from what I've seen. Both lowball and offer free recycling if they do no buy them, but check it out for yourself. It may be another route.

Update: I just sent 5 phones to gazelle.com. Got $76 for the 5. I did not have to pay for shipping. These were used Nextel phones.
