had a good day

To day i was doing my thing, saw metal a chair. then i see a little girl no shoes on, no jacket ,paints hanging diaper showing walking behind a woman , At first i said i guess the little ones is with the woman, The woman looks at the Little girl and kept walking . I realized she was with no one . I said to the little one where's your mom ........? Where you live ...........? no answer . I picked her up and started talking out any one missing a child ? took about 60 seconds then a frantic mom came out My baby shes lost I yelled out I have her .
You know what pisses me off most that original woman who just kept walking she did not even have the hart to see a child in trouble heck it was 40 degrees out.

That's what I'm talking about Copper Head. A little human compassion. That's something that has gone missing in most people. I'm glad you shared this. If people knew the immense sense of pride and joy that comes with helping others, I think things would be different. It makes me sick thinking of that woman. I'm glad you did the right thing.

Where are the parents? Do you know how many people are waiting to adopt children and this women obviously cant take care of her kid. People like this make me very angry at least copper had the balls to ask the right questions just to bad he had to turn her over to an unfit parent.

People just look at things like that, or any situation that requires them to act like HUMANS, with some testicular fortitude, as "not my problem", and ignore it until it goes away.

You don't know the parent is unfit, all you know is the kid got away from her. You can't keep an eye on kids every second and those that do think that have never had kids. They do get away, walking away from the grandparents house several blocks away across a highway to the aunts house (me age 18 months) or climb out a window to go to a birthday party several blocks away because we didn't want to take a nap first (me age 4, my brother age 2 1/2) or when mom goes to run errands leaving the kid with grandma the kid takes a tricycle to follow down a driveway then pushed her tricycle down and up a 20 deep dip in the road and then 2 miles on the sidewalk to safeway (my daughter age 26 months). My mom was in charge all three times and there is no way she could be called unfit. The adoption agency that gave her 56 newborn babies to foster until they could be adopted didn't think her unfit.

Now the other woman who walked away was a real piece of work and if you want to call her unfit to have kids I agree 100%.

Copper Head: You did good! I know how frantic my wife was during the half hour my daughter was missing. Two thumbs up and a pat on the back for getting the kid back where she belonged.
