Well ****ed up a little passing that on. The add was under the free section of CL and i had been in contact from this guy since tuesday. Guess he told my business partner 40$, and i failed to pass that along. Really doesnt make sense that he charged us but needed it gone so he posted it free. I feel bad about not sending on the full info im a true ass hat right now.

If it was posted under free, then it was free. My guess is a lot of people expressed interest, so the person decided to charge for it. I've seen this a few times on "free" items.

One of those moments it was like ah crap hes got that all in his truck and lifted that stuff bah, i just hope he came out on top with it. Would be pretty bad if the first day we get in contact with each other i burn him. i guess ill find out when he chimes in

    Nother news update:
Been steady building my client base and spreading the word on my prices for whole broken comps. Well turns out i finally told the right scrappers cause today i got a big surprise after trash runs today.
Im sitting in my workshop with the door down was a little cool out this morning, Well i hear a knock on the garage door. Thats a first i open it up expecting it to be a neighbor needing to barrow a tool or to shoot the ****. I open the door and there's 2 of the guys i told last week that im buying computers well both had trailers stacked to the top and were blocking my road. First load had 57 towers on it and the 2nd had 38 towers. plus god to many crts printers and other electronics.

To say the least im out of money and got a ****load to keep me busy. But im gonna get a new camera to take photos of my loads after i get paid for this one :-) Funny thing is this week has been horrible for trash routes just seems competition is really out there hard.

    Cheers
    Dune

Some really nice scores. What are you paying for computers? If you prefer not to share I will not be offended, Mike. (I have been paying about $5)

5$ for peeps that dont know about comp scrap at all, and 7$ for those that kinda know whats going on, High end systems ill throw 10$ at (just cause im gonna rebuild them). Im keeping crazy notes on these to see if im loosing my ass in the end here but hey i got all this money from the trash in the first place :-D One way or another im having crazy amounts of fun doing this.......though i really need to finish college lol. Also just got done with the first 135 hours of stock footage of Everglades swamp documentary im working on....i been sitting around having to watch all that to only use 15 minutes of it *facepalm, these loads couldn't have arrived at a better time, i wont be getting more footage for at least another week or 2. So i can tinker to my hearts content, my footlocker of proccessors that im stashing away for a rainy day is getting very shiny with all that gold.

yes you can get your money out of most comps very easily, only problem is it can be alot of extra some times of just a little, rarely have i had a computer that came in at under 5$ value.

Take the 2 i got this morning both very standard computers plus 2 keyboards mice, and 3 crts for 15$..... Now i paid 3.50 for a gallon of gas to get out there. sooo 18.50$
Both the towers alone in steel, finger cards, and motherboards came up to 14 bucks.

Got Ram, Processor, HDD boards, lithium batteries, power supplies, dvd/cd/floppy drives added to there respective piles. (these i save for my profit)

Knowing that i was paying around 8$ a computer i went knowing there was a working Wifi 4 in 1 printer, plus the crts, which at 3-5 a piece when scrapped out. and the keyboard siler thingys go in a pile and regular batteries from the mice.

All together from the load im looking at making a few bucks on top of what i went out with.

Doing this many times a day is how you get it done or just do big loads if ur awesome like that. I know where im sitting at im still gonna run out to grab that other single comp 15 miles away just cause i know im gonna find stuff on the way there and back, plus a new contact or word of mouth lead. Im just startling but i intend to make a big splash.

Now dont forget. Any hard drive 80gb or larger will sell well on ebay. Ive sold some as low as 40gb as well. Also any dvdrw drives I sell for $18 to $20 bucks shipped on ebay and have no problems selling them. If you dont want to do the ebay thing I would be interested in buying them for above scrap prices and pay shipping.

Im Building my testing center for parts for re sale but i have crap for knowledge with ebay or shipping procedures and such. figured it be easier to send them your way. i just found a pair of internal tera bytes that i just hold up to my main tower and they run great :-p now its just time to fill them. ahha.
