I have a out side clean out job that i have been doing piece meal , I paid the store owner $20 I have found copper nice steel in the pile and there is some other stuff chairs and such , I was very happy with the scale from 1900's I use it & weighs up to 1000 lb, on
ebay i have seen them going for a good buck . I wont sell it ,I have noticed my new hobby are scales (old ones) I like the old technology
I also see they are very accurate , I have a 30 Lb baby scale from the 1920's some kind of mini scale from Detecto that can weigh up to 250 lb and made of cast iron. I have about 8 scales that are interesting to look at and i have fun using before I hit the yard. Knowing the weight is a good thing.
-----------------
Today i took the next heavy thing, an old industrial clothes washer from the 40's i believe
it feels like 250 lb I could have easily busted up the cast to make liter but kept whole , SO is this old thing worth any thing other wise i want that motor.
