monday morning after i dropped off the first load
last but not least, tonight's haul as of 2 a.m i'll go back out with the trailer in an hour or so
also picked this up monday morning, a HUGE king poster bed, with 4 large cast iron pillars or steel, not suree but theyre heavy as ****, took me and 2 other guys to lift each one. should be a good payday
found this with a sign on it in the trash that says "works great adopt me" I think im gonna hook it up in my workshop. lol
Lol i saw a tv with almost that same sign on it last night around here. another time i wish i had a truck
I picked up 2 of those the other night and the guy had another one but it would not fit, 60 inch. But I am not sure if it is worth the drive again to go and get it. It is about about 100 miles round trip. I also picked up two tube tv's.
Great hauls badewolf....thanks for posting.
Great hauls, do you have a fixed route or what's your strategy? If you don't mind me asking.

Yeah, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 3-4 in the afternoon till around midnight to 2am I do neighborhood trash nights. Friday, sat are great days to hit up craigslist, the flea market, garage sales and ESPECIALLY, probably the biggest scores for more than scrap value items come from dumpsters around apartments. I check all the apartments within a 30 mile radius at least once a week. Problem is lately there are so many noobies out that its making it difficult, I was out tonight and counted 11 other scrap trucks on my route. The good thing is, I know the areas. I know every backstreet, and i can get ahead of them easily when I see them. As my general rule, a per-determined, weekly schedule always pays off in the long run as opposed to the spastic movements other scrappers make.
Monday
1st trip around 12:45 pm. Bed frame with iron head and foot boards, a Tv with cord, Ironing board. Floresent light fixtue, metal pole
2nd Trip. 6:30 pm. four 5 or 6 foot copper pipes, a vacume with cord, blade off a snow shovel
3rd trip. 10:00 pm. Nothin
I didnt see any other scrappers out that day. Of corse its cold and snowy around here. Good luck the rest of the week all!!!!
No pic's but I did get a call from one of my regulars to pick up 16 flat screen monitors, don't know if any of them work yet. I'm only gonna goof around with the larger ones to see if I can get them to work. Gotta go back and get a couple of crt monitors and a box full of keyboards/mice.

They are to me as I have ways to recycle the other stuff properly. Usually a couple of bucks worth of copper, and a few monitors have a big alum shield right underneath the back. I remove the goodies/board and replace the back.
put an ad up on kijiji, (the canadian equivilant of craigslist) for in-town deliverys for $15. someone called me in the morning, to pick up a cabinet. while driving that to his house, i got another call, to deliver a new stove. while un strapping the stove in the guys driveway, i get another call, this time for scrap, i got a large fridge, a mini fridge, a filing cabinet and a microwave. $50.50.
$80 minus gas, not bad for getting paid to drive around and listen to music
Probably my best single pickup:
Tied with this load. Both were a little over 5000 pounds:

(for some reason, it would only post one picture. The link is to the second load.)
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
