Goldstar microwave oven model ER-711M

So today was a good day. Saw a listing for a microwave and replied. The guy said it has been setting on his front porch and no one will take it off his hands. So I knew this ment it was a old one. I told him no problems I will take it.



So I load up and head out. I get there and can see it is a big one. I go up and pick it up and had to set it back down LOL! :eek: I thought to myself geeze what does this thing weight?? If the guy was watching outside his window I am sure he was laughing at me. I stagered down the steps and to the car. Get it loaded and then start to head home. I turn the corner and bam a tv setting on the side of the curb, score! . So I get the tv loaded up and now my car is packed. I head it on home.

Kept thinking to myself what did that microwave weight. So came home and googled it. All I could find out is that it is 20 years old and aprroxamatly 56 lbs. It use to be 80 lbs is all I could lift, now 56 is my limit LOL The day I have to get a dolly to lift a microwave is the day I need to quit doing this job

sometimes it seems I only have enough strength to load an item into my car, but when I get home I'm too pooped to get it back out!

LOL I did this once with a 32 inch tube tv. The thing had to weight 150 pounds. It was on a second floor apartment. The kid givig it away was like I cant help you lift that thing its to heavy. I walked up to it snatched it off the stand and told him to open the **** door. Carried it down the stairs tossed into the back of my truck and drove home. Go home and relized how heavy that thing was and how tired I was just fron carrying it. The next day Imade my daughter help me get it out of the truck.

I found one not long ago, I knew it was old because its as heavy as the first one my parents ever owned. Well, I found 2 of the huge transformers in it, on top of the standard stuff.

BTW That dinosaur sits out in a garage now and still works. They sure don't make things like they used to.
