So i was delivering my mail route today and....

I kept adding up the dollar signs. I was delivering mail in a gated community today to help out another carrier and couldnt help but notice all the money I was passing up. the scrapper in me kicked in and all I wanted to do was rip them COPPER mailboxes off the post and throw them in the back of the mail truck then drive straight to the scrap yard. I bet I shoved mail into at least 100 copper mailboxes today. And if the house didnt have a copper mailbox they had a nice big BRASS address plate on the stone pillar in front of the house. I bet in the 200 houses I delivered mail to in this gated community I passed at least $3000 bucks worth of brass and coppper today.

Instead of three there would be FOUR threads on news reports about metal thefts today. But your post really made me lol 'cause I could just picture you ripping(no pun intended) off that brass and copper and stuffing it in your mailbag and running back and forth to your mail truck...then speeding off to the yard......then this......."Postal Worker Goes Postal for Brass and Copper" details at eleven.
