    Todays fun with Kzbell

Well first thing this morning on my day off from the PO I went looking around the neighborhood and in 15 minutes got a large strand of xmas lights and 1 fridge. Took that stuff back home and headed to my scrapper contact. Picked up 15 towers and CRT's and a 40 pound box of misc boards cpu's ram chips drives. Paid $110 and a $20 bottle of Tequilla. I got him the booze because his last set of towers netted me about $400 bucks worth of stuff I sold on ebay. So I did it as a thank you for his business.

Then headed to meet up with KZ at the auction. Got this mirror in a stack of stuff for $20.

Im going to put it on CL for $100. A detroit lions one sold on ebay for $150. Everything else at the auction went way to high. Get this there was a POS system there with 7 celeron PC's and 5 touch screen monitors. It sold for $1800 bucks and they even said it was for hardware only. I guess they really wanted them crappy computers. Maybe they just wanted the screens. I looked them up they sell new for about $400 each. The computers wernt worth $10 a piece if you ask me.

Then afterwords I took KZ out to lunch at Cinzetti's and we piged out. Had to buy him lunch since he gave me a chimney cab for my house for free was a fun day.

wish there was a cool member down here to kill time with lmao

And with the pos systems...the programs are very simple...it would run JUST fine on them old computers and with them being setup with the hardware and all and ready to go other than the program..it was worth the money. Some of the hardware you have to buy to put into them things to run the cash box and printers...can get costly.

Big cities are full of stuff,stuff,stuff...nice haul...all I got today was really greasy lawnmowers, I just could not face unbolting them from the decks. I'm slipping. I did process a Dodge shadow and got 11 gallons of fuel out of the tank!!

Yes it was. Working against a 14k bulk bid but the guy with the bid was pretty aggressive when it came to the piece meal and about 2/3's the way thru the 14k was blown by. Few good buys but seemed over priced for the most part, nothing for me today.

The "whales" are going under at the auctions around here, they had deep pockets in the past, trying to recoup on the choice items. Now things are so bad they bring in the stuff for scrap value a few months later and are seen no more at auction. If your house has no value what in the world does???

Having built that type of stuff in the past you don't even want to know what "quality control" really means on the assembly line....

Most stores will even extend their return policy with a polite description of failure details presented to a manager with the phrase " I really don't feel good about shopping here again if this is not resolved". This will get you a replacement 99% of the time, getting your cash back is only possible during the stated return period. All Big Box retailers have a "fade" margin that allows exchanges to keep consumers happy.
