Sold 14 Hard Drives today and I wasn't even home

I was at work and somebody called about HD's I had posted on CL. I went on break called my dad and he called him back the guy came over and picked them up in about 20 minutes. For some reason I have no luck selling HD's one by one. I have great success on CL in bulk lots. for 14 HD's I made $105 (me and dad split so $210). It took 3 weeks to sell them, but that's a hell of a lot better than .55-.65 a lb.

    20-60 Gig $5
    80-100 $10
    120-200 $20
    210+ $30

Do you test and wipe them or do you sell them as is?

Both, haven't had any over 250gigs but who knows price wise. They have had bad floods over in Thailand were most of them are made, so there was supposedly a shortage. But I'm not sure if it's that or people just don't want to spend money on new ones.

Oh ok, that's cool glad you ended up going. I am rather impatient when it comes to sitting in traffic, I would've had to run up 42 to 130 to 73. That would've been about an hour ride for me without traffic. I appreciate the text. I have had to back off the e-scrap pickups though. This marina job I got after Christmas has me buried. I had to rent a 10x20 storage unit for breaking stuff down and storage. I had my dad run down by himself to grab the last load (3 all together). I unloaded everything because it's a little much for him. Been trying to do everything before and after work.

Congrats on the marina gig, know you said something about it, wish i could get something like that, at least something for the weekends. I knew when i sent you the text that you must be busy and hadnt been on in a while.

Yea I have been crazy busy, taking a day or 2 off from the Marina stuff. Went to FL with the girls, came back on the 2nd, did some marina stuff, and started the new job. I feel like PTS, sleep when I'm dead kinda mode. But it's all good, I will do an update tomorrow with a total count of items I have in storage from all 3 pickups. I'm keeping busy, staying out of trouble and making some money. Correction on that time it was before Christmas. The only thing I really want/need to do is drop his trailer back off. Just glad I'm not paying for parking it at the storage facility a friend owns, just don't want to push it because he cut me a break on storage too.

I really want to spread this stuff out a little. I'm burning myself out. If I get anything that doesn't need to be picked up right away and is worth the trip for you I will give you a shout. I have plenty to keep me busy for another month or so. Thanks btw
