    Jackpot!!!!

So I get this phone call about 2pm today. The man on the other end is telling me, not asking, to come right now and pick up air conditioner at his motel. Im having a hard time understanding what he is saying because of different language barrier. After I get his address I haul *ss over there because he said too, or he would call someone else. To be honest, the only reason I went was because I happen to be just a few miles away.
So after I show up and go into the front office like instructed, I have to wait outside patiently. And wait...and wait........ and wait............... Finally, the little man appears and orders me to move my trailer to the back fence. He calls me behind the fence and tells me to start loading it ALL! Im speechless!!!!!!!!!!! 15 a/c units, 4 stoves, and 2 heavy metal cabinets. But thats not all? He then ask me to return so I can get whats on the other side of the motel. 30 more a/c units, 25 metal bed frames, about 50 old appliances, lots of misc. metal too much......................... to list. While im loading the ac's he ask me if I would help him move things in the future for free? He said things like coke machines, ice machines, anything he might need. Of course, I said. He then said good, but I wan't you to come straight over here when I do call you, just like you did today. ( He barks alot of orders , but hey, I can take orders for $$$$$$$$ ). It gets better, as im leaving with the first load he ask what time I will be arriving to finish the job. I told him tomorrow morning, he was expecting it later tonight. I had to explain to him that when he called me, I only understood I was to pick up only one a/c unit and Ihadn't prepared for all this with so short notice. He said if I would return in the morning and finish it all up , he would then take me to all of his other motels, his family's motels, and all his friends motels to do the same type of cleanup.
Im gonna have to start eating my wheaties! I already got some helper's lined up for in the morning. Just thought I would share this story with all.

Well, Big Tex, you have come a long way since joining us last spring. You deserve this. You've really worked hard this year and probably since you first started scrapping just a couple years ago. I love this story..that little man sounds funny, but what a honey pot. don't forget the donuts or beer or whatever he likes. Find out and get it...make him love you !!! And keep us posted. (if you have time !)

great score, and as stated above bring donuts, coffee, a 6 pack, whatever the guy is in to, make him want to be your best friend, and if the barking orders gets annoying, just add up the dollars bills as he's yelling and pointing out the "junk" he wants removed.

oh and if you get a chance post pics of your gold mine.

Finished up on yesterdays work & now getting ready to take a weeks vacation. But first, can anyone share some knowledge on what people of Islamic faith expect from a person like me, as far as work ethic and just in general? I learned that the owner of the motel I was cleaning for, is a big leader in the Islam community. He is from India. His friends and family own majority of motels and convenience stores in my area. Rumor has it that this guy iv'e been dealing with is the MAN! Keep him happy and im in. I just want to learn a little know - how, in business dealings with them. I don't want to unintentionally
offend or step on his toes and blow this Great opportunity. Thanks....

I wouldn't even think about religion, thinking about it will only make it an issue in your head and maybe cause some slip ups because you are over analyzing things.

Work hard, be honest, reliable and just all around personable.
