Took in a load of various types of aluminum, motors and transformers, mostly insulated wire. I had the insulated wire seperated. One tub had Christmas lights computer ribbon cable. The other 2 tubs were full of #2 insulated. This is the first time that I have taken in Christmas lights and/or ribbon cable and assumed they would both be about 30 cents a pound.
The guy seperated that bin and paid me 32 cents per pound on the Christmas lights and threw the ribbon cable in with the #2 insulated at 90 cents per pound. I asked the guy and he said, "normally it would be number 3, but you only had 15 pounds of it so it can go in with the #2".
SWEET!
It is usually crowded as can be and I never have time to chat, but today was different. I started asking about computers. They flip most of it really fast and cheap, but for some reason they are pulling the RAM and setting it to the side. I told him what I would pay and he said, "great, we'll call you when we have a hundred pounds". Sounds good to me, but won't hold my breath on it actually getting to me.
Have a great day scrapping everyone. I am off to the garage to get my load of
E-scrap together.
