I have one sorta like that, has a 'softstart' (good) & over center disc guard (good too) & works really well.

Make sure the screws holding the face plate onto the head (the casting around the shaft) don't come loose.

Check them everytime you use the grinder (I'd, from the start, replace them with longer screws & then use wire or tabs or something to stop the screws undoing).

Mine came loose & the gap opened up & the gears started to seperate & that wore the teeth out, after taking it apart & cleaning & putting it all back together, it still worked well, but the gears are louder now.

    They have plenty of power.

Can't find that thread at the moment but I wish Festool made a cordless angle grinder. Having run long cords through the snow many times this past winter, I'm now ready to buy a cordless grinder. Anyone have experience and use one regularly? I'm looking for suggestions to narrow down my list. Looking for a high quality tool with decent lasting capabilities.
