id be up there everyday i didnt have something lined up, i don't know about where you live, but in arkansas those 70's a 80s chevy trucks are in big demand (not for me im a dodge guy ) especially the one with the stepside, the grey or black one also tho
That caddy looks like a good smasher
I make cents on the pound, the name of the game is VOLUME
Those are some seriously good looking trucks just sitting there. Don't scrap them! They are easily worth more than scrap value.
That stepside chevy is a good find. I'd like to have it!
Where are you located?
That Caddy would make a real neat street sleeper, with a big block in it.

dodge...
them trucks some how never got crushed the grey one needs frame rockers doors cab ect only has a good drivtrain the stepside not sure on the storey about that im assuming the wrecker thats my next project.
i would love to be out there but its a 3 hour drive away so its hard for me to scrap and haul everthing there and still make money i live in halifax ns and the yard is in yarmouth ns
thats my kinda truck the very last on we scrapped was one, actually ran but it couldnt pull itself up the trailer broke my heart we scrapped it, saved the tailgate to resell and kept the seat for my 94
EDIT i figured i better let everyone know this was a 318 not the cummins since im bragging about them on the post below

i dont know if thats a cummins or not but IF it is you really need to consider that for your main scrapping vehicle. they rarely go bad ( i got two of em ) you can probably put two new batteries on it a new fuel filter and prime it, probably fire right up
EDIT. also drain the tank 15years is a while

the truck worked when it was parked there about 15 years ago . ill take some new pictures of the yard next time im down it some how keeps getting bigger but with appliances the local sears brings all the old and beat up appliances prob avg 2 or 3 a day and they just come drop them off
opps allmost forgot a picture
its a 1959 ward step van
That old Wards would be cool as a scrapping vehicle with a Cummings and automatic
If you ever are looking to scrap the stuff, go stay with your grandfather for about a week. Should give you plenty of time.

the step van hopefully be restored i picked up an 2003 gmc 2500 van will use frame and drive train . the dodge has a 318 and the sears thing im not sure how it happened. once we get enough weight in the scrap the yard will come to us and clean it up
I'm curious how he got Sears to drop off there as well. That would be an excellent thing to have done. $30 a day from Sears alone would be excellent.
in the town there is no salvage yard that pays for metal u either need a load big enough for the crusher to come to you or travel 3 hours to the closest yard that pays for loads
where are u there are 20 yards within 30 miles of here
