Since i started scraping ,I look back at all the things i use to struggle to take apart
NOW
A no PCB ballast is broken down 15 seconds and based on CC or CU
i make a decision
Microwave 1 min Tv's 90 seconds I know about metal - I know things i never knew / I am liveing and breathing metal / my hands are black as i type with cuts on the finger tips.
BUT what skills have I developed for used in the job market , I know I feel like i can do any thing with a black smith mallet LOL

Yes you pick up speed with time, my old partner could clean anything...anything with an anvil,3 lb. hand sledge,chisel and punch, and pliers. He just bashed everything to a pulp and leaned up the scraps. Jobs?? no thanks..I enjoy work but detest jobs. I have been too independent for too long. Keep it up!!

I recently was on a job shut down (for now) I was aloud at lunch & end of day to scrap , but I was also paid to help do demo - I did not even recognize myself from my past . All day I am hitting with a mallet (wood) to help tear apart & it was so familiar to me, I knew the weak spots to hit . I am a changed person But a scraper like me did loose focus from time to time ,like I see a guy tossing a door to dumpster and i said hold it . I hit the large door stop (damper) off felt like 6 lb well one of the guys says to me when you do demo don't scrap. At this point might as well ask me not to breathe

I am a great worker and a good employer, but I have never been a good employee. I have only worked for a few people in my life. They were all good people and decent jobs, but I just like to do my own thing for myself.
