I got a call off of one of my clist ads to pick up a tv and a small icemaker.I almost turned it down because it was a 70 mile round trip and it wouldnt really be worth it.Did it anyway and ended up with the icemaker a 38 inch tv about 300lbs of flat steel a weight bench and about 200lbs of steel weights 2 metal power poles with boxes attached about 20 feet of 2 inch steel pipe about 20 feet of cable 10 very old computers 8 moniters and 3 boxes of misc computer stuff that i havent gone through yet.Somehow i got it all in the back of my truck. Ill never turn down a pickup or leave the house without the trailer again.

Good job. This is why I don't turn down pickups either. I had a pickup a few months ago for a fridge. Round trip was about 50 miles. So not worth it, but she asked and I obliged. She called back and asked if I knew how to get rid of tires, or if I would take them. I'm thinking these are junk tires, but I said I could take them since I have a place to drop off.

Then she tells me her daughter down the road has a dryer she needs to get rid of.

I get the dryer, fridge and 2 snow tires that looked to be almost new. Tossed the tires on CL for $150 and got $120.

I've had that. Getting more than expected. Always makes my day. But even if you did only get what you went to pick up you've still got the word out to someone. Good time to have a business card. And then you can always take the long way home. Knock on some doors. Drive down some alleys. Check out some dumpsters.
