    First Dumpster Dive

I tried my first dumpster dive today. I was dropping off the kids for swimming lessons and saw a dumpster by the community pool. I checked it out and found 2 pretty good sized sump pumps in there. They both had really long cords. I am also hoping the motor windings are copper (Havent looked yet) I also got a shop vac and some other misc steel. Pretty good I thought
I also signed up on Freecycle.org and got a toaster oven and a projection TV. Scrap seems slow right now but there are a few things out there if you look. Good luck everyone!

Good to hear utah...watch for oil when breaking down that sump, makes a mess if not careful.

That is great for a first time search. Great start ! Have fun breaking it down. Vacuums are actually easy, but my first few times I somehow made it difficult...you'll prob do great, but it took me a few to get the hang of it. Hope the cord was still on it too. Love those sump pumps.

lol, yeah, my first projection t.v. was torn apart in the living room where it died, needless to say, there is still a shiny spot in the carpet from the optical oil.
